Meet Clarissa

I’m Clarissa, and Flavoria is my kitchen-laboratory: a cozy space where aromas, ideas, and experiments meet. Between pots and notebooks, I test recipes, study ingredients, and turn curiosity into dishes that you can recreate at home, keeping all their warmth and personality.

“In the kitchen, curiosity and experimentation are the secret ingredients that never run out.”

Born by the Lake, Inspired by Memory

Growing up near the enchanting and romantic shores of Lake Como, my eyes were early educated to beauty. I found myself captivated by the timeless landscapes, and the perfectly set tables of the waterfront restaurants, where hospitality felt like a living art form.

Yet, the true spark was lit at home. It was my father who held a visceral passion for the kitchen; he often told me that composing a dish was his sanctuary, a peaceful realm where he could explore unexpected pairings. I fell in love with his culinary philosophy, and over time, his sanctuary became my own.

The Rigor of Design: From Notebooks to the Kitchen Lab

I have always believed that order is the canvas upon which elegance is drawn. Throughout my academic journey, my notebooks were never mere places for notes; they were carefully designed, illustrated, and structured like precious volumes. I created meticulous blueprints and clear layouts to map knowledge.

Today, that same surgical precision defines everything I touch. In my Kitchen Lab, this discipline governs not only the execution of a recipe but the entire experience of hosting: the strict geometry of a table setting, the choreography of welcoming guests, and the curation of my home. If a dish is visually imperfect, it is recreated. Accuracy is my respect for the art.

A Wanderer’s Heart: The Heritage of Sissi

My European journeys as a young woman ignited a profound fascination for the history and aesthetics of the 18th and 19th centuries. I developed a deep admiration for Empress Elisabeth of Austria—the iconic Sissi—a legendary wanderer who traveled to seek solace and wonder. This connection ran so deep that my family affectionately crowned me with her name, ‘Sissi,’ a title my closest loved ones still use today.

From walking the halls of Miramare Castle in Trieste to dreaming of the imperial avenues of Vienna, my love for her journey shapes the way I travel today. For me, exploring the world is a quest to uncover local heritage and forgotten traditions, bridging the gap between historical elegance and contemporary lifestyle.

Welcome to My Atelier, Where Every Recipe Tells a Story.

Flavoria is the journal of my obsessive pursuit of splendour, heritage, and flavor. Here, the romance of Lake Como, the precision of a laboratory, and the imperial dreams of a wanderer find their common ground: the table.

Warmly,

Clarissa (Sissi)

A Note on My Visual Philosophy:

I want to share a little behind-the-scenes glimpse into how I bring this space to life. Every single recipe, dish, and culinary experiment you discover here on Flavoria is one hundred percent real—meticulously tested, cooked, and photographed by me inside my Kitchen Lab.

When it comes to the other spaces of the blog, the visual curation adapts to the soul of each project. Within The Art of Hosting, I have chosen to rely entirely on curated digital (Ai generated) and editorial imagery; this allows me to protect the intimacy and privacy of my own home and family while still offering you an impeccable, geometrically styled source of aesthetic inspiration. In contrast, for the Lifestyle & Travel section, I love blending these editorial visuals with my own authentic, spontaneous photographs captured along the way. Transparency and precision are the foundation of our connection—both in the kitchen and in style.
